The four-door Porsche Panamera was stolen off the lot of Princeton Porsche on Route 1 sometime between the test drive and the dealer’s opening time Tuesday.
“He took them for a ride, their interaction ended and the next day this car was gone,” said Lt. Charles Edgar of the Lawrence Police Department.
A unique feature of the car, in addition to its $148,000 price tag, is that it has electronic keys that unlock the doors with one swipe and allow the bearer to drive. The car’s ignition is push-button and does not require a key, Edgar said.
“It looks like they may have done a switcheroo on the keys of the car,” he said.
