Former minister in charge of the secret services Gyorgy Szilvasy and two former leaders of the National Security Office (NBH) could be charged with illegal attacks against the IT systems of government agencies, news portal Index said on Wednesday.

Gyorgy Szilvasy, Lajos Galambos and Sandor Laborc are charged with espionage for organising a series of hacks against the government’s central computer system and the IT systems of government agencies while they were leaders of the secret services, Index reported without revealing its source of information.

Szilvasy’s attorney Peter Sebes declined to comment on the report, and said that details of the case were classified information. He said, however, that he had proposed that the protocols taken when Szilvasy was questioned should be made public.
