Qualified candidates are as rare as a dot-com profit. Executive
recruiter Lee Kushner estimates that there are as many as 50,000
openings for information security specialists in the United States
alone. Indeed, some experts wonder if the dearth isn't one of the
reasons that hacks and intrusions are up some 50 percent from last
year alone.
