Forwarded By: "Berislav Kucan BHZ" <bhz () net-security org> All this Palm trojan issue was just a charade. If you read closely about the situation, especially on PalmStation.com, people would see that the program was created as a proof concept one (it was talked about on some warez channels as a tool against leechers). Then after author said "please don't" share the program, but someone started to deal it over IRC. Numerous articles about the situation were just cauing panic, and some anti virus companies really enjoyed it. So from one to another news item, the program started as malicious code, gone to trojan than to a first virus for Palm Pilots. For me, it is all giant FUD case, where AV companies just want to use people panic for their own causes... eof Berislav Kucan aka BHZ bhz () net-security org http://net-security.org *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** On 2000.08.31 at 04:01 InfoSec News wrote:
