Folks,

A new 20+ page article is available at
http://www.infowarrior.org/articles.html was written that attempts to
demonstrate "beyond a shadow of a doubt" the sad state of Microsoft
software security and the clever ways the company goes about dodging
responsiblity for its actions and products. Further, it is becoming
evident that the growing dependence on Microsoft software is becoming
downright dangerous, particularly as evidenced by the recent ILY virus
event. That is why the article is titled "Microsoft: A Proven Danger To
National Security."

Part 1 of this article discusses in some level of detail some of the
technical security reasons why Microsoft software is not appropriate for
mission-critical services, even though more and more major organizations
are climbing aboard their bandwagon. Part 2 delves into the DCMA, UCITA,
WIPO laws as a fantastic way for software makers like Microsoft to hide
behind to shirk their responsibility when their software is exploited by
an adversary - which is, in my opinion, why Microsoft is such a strong
supporter of these proposed laws. As a matter of background, Part 2 was
brought about by the fiasco involving Microsoft's strong-arming of the
Slashdot crowd this past week regarding the MS Kerberos implementation.

I have strived to insure everyone is quoted appropriately with reference
information. However, as links change frequently, I cannot guarantee that
referenced links will be active in the future.

the widest distribution. As writers, journalists, and editors, we need to
get the word out on this major issue that everyone seems to be ignoring.
Thanks again,
