STORY: A COMPUTER emergency response team is to be set up to help
defend the SAR against cyber attacks.

According to the Deputy Secretary for Information Technology and
Broadcasting, Alan Siu Yu-bun, agreement has been reached in principle

administration.

Hong Kong had not suffered much from the recent spate of computer
virus attacks, Mr Siu said, ``but we cannot treat the matter
lightly.'' And after discussions with members of the information
industry, the government supported creating a response team.
