Subject: Re: [IP] New details released on Huawei's intent-based network

Just got back into cell range and catching up on two weeks of messages. Apologies if this is no longer relevant. Is
this new? Hardly. Cisco and other vendors have product for a while now. Is iy useful? Probably. But I'm not the
target market so I can't say for sure.

What I do see is a "lovely" opportunity for gaming the system by avoiding attacking the network strong defences. To
use the regular analogy, it's getting difficult to hack a car's systems to get a false gas gauge reading that will
convince the driver to stop soon. But make it seem like the kids in the middle row of the minivan have to pee???
Easier and just as effective in getting the vehicle off the road soon. The more you automatically depend on your
internal inputs the more they become tempting targets. Only time will tell if this is a good trade off. Tweaking
algorithms to detect such gaming will call for creative coding.

What a marvelous bunch of buzz words. Question is is it anything new and useful?
