Not only is the person targets to lose their job, but there are often threats of bodily harm. On top of that, campaigns frequently target family, relatives and friends. They frequently rise to the level of violating people's civil rights. This is way out of hand.; I suspect that it will get much worse as people start retaliating. I believe that people need to tone the rhetoric way down. People can agree to disagree, and still respect those they may disagree on one issue, or even many issues, but still respect them for other traits which may be admiral. Isn't part of growing up discovering that we must pick what we believe to be the best choice while none of the choices are what we would like? One thing is certain, discussing differences of opinion is no longer possible once someone declares war. It is better to start off being nice, once you are not there is no going back. And by the way, the article also notes: "Damore left Harvard with a master’s degree in systems biology in 2013, and did not complete his PhD, the university says... Until Tuesday, Damore’s LinkedIn profile included “PhD, Systems Biology.” Damore appears to have changed the profile after WIRED reported that he had not completed the degree." d/ -- Dave Crocker Brandenburg InternetWorking bbiw.netArchives | Modify Your Subscription | Unsubscribe NowVirus-free. www.avast.com
