Apple/ATT blows it again

I woke up early and decided to reserve a iphone 4 and give my 3gs to my son. First I got to the point of it checking 
ATT 
where it spun for 1/2 hr then said it timed out.

I then retried and all  the Apple site did was say "oops" error

Come on you guys. This is not the first time
