Query re Iphone ios 4.

I got a developer license so I could develop some toys for my Ipad. I would like to try the 4.0 GM beta. If I install 
it do I 

1. be able to update it to the official release

2. Suffer any problems with the phone ( excluding bugs)because I put a beta on it?
