Last I heard, Google was the third largest internet backbone carrier in the Country,
so the needs to be factored into this.

Is my information correct?

Cheers,

Dave,

As a crude market test, I’d be interested in IPers’ responses to
the following questions:

1. Does anybody doubt that Google can actually deploy this network
in a reasonable number of trial locations (putting aside nationwide
scalability issues)?

And

2. Assuming Google can do so, is there anyone on-list who doesn ’t w
ant this to their house, if they could get it?

from The Wall Street Journal

Google plans to build and test broadband networks that could
deliver speeds more than 100 times faster than what most
Americans use. The plan, announced on a company blog, could
expand Google's position on the Internet by answering consumer
