As recent articles have time and again pointed out, the definition of cloud computing can be molded to fit just about anything. Larry Ellison of Oracle has publicly asked if companies such as Google as based on "water vapor."

There are many things about cloud computing which both individuals (before they use a service such as T-Mobile Sidekick for example) and corporate managers should understand and here is one attempt to demystify cloud computing a bit.

EVERYBODY LOVES A CLOUD

The IT industry loves a new buzzword, even if it’s just a new word a nd not a new concept. Cloud computing is the buzzword du jour and so ftware vendors small and large want everyone to enjoy life in the cl oud. But is cloud computing really that new? Or is it a move back to centralized systems, reminiscent of the days when the mainframe was king with a dash of Software-as-a-Service added?
