Dave,

A follow-up and, hopefully, the last word on your Expedia problem.

About 2 hours after I had spoken with a supervisor at Expedia about
the medical emergency nature of your need to cancel the trip package
to Hawaii for your son and daughter-in-law, I received a phone call from
a gentlemen with Expedia headquarters (Las Vegas NV).

He stated that your case had been brought to their attention, 
management had reviewed your situation, wished me to pass on to you
their deep concern and condolences for your wife's medical problem.

He stated that under the trying circumstances, Expedia did not want
you to have to worry about justifying the medical emergency, that they
had canceled the plane reservation and the motel reservation, and
Expedia was acting to refund the entire purchase price of the package.

In particular, they did not want you to have to worry about obtaining a
doctor's statement of the emergency, that was waived, that neither 
Expedia, the airline or the hotel needed any further action from you.

I have his name and direct phone number -- contact me if the full 
purchase price is not back in your account within 2 - 3 business days.

I told him I would pass this info on to you.
