I found this news article today and thought it was interesting enough  
to share.

According to the article, an EU Commissioner is proposing the  
enforcement of a price cut on data transfers (texting and internet  
browsing) for mobile devices in Europe stating that the industry  
failed in terms of self-regulation for roaming charges and that  
customers are being "ripped off":
