The idiots at Comcast did the same in Michigan two weeks ago, blocked port
25 with NO notice.  I spent two days chasing on and off the problem.  I
thought it was related to Windows or Outlook upgrades.  Boy was I pissed
when I found the real problem.

On or about January 3, 2008 Comcast SF Bay Area did the same thing;
blocking port 25... at least on some network drops.
Network tech maintained it had been that way since 1/1/07.
Clearly, false information.

No notice, no suggested workaround... not even a good
description on the comcast.net website of suggested
(required?) SMTP server setting modifications.

Our sterling broadband ISP options.. AT&T and Comcast...
sad, really.
