http://www.cra.org/ccc/initiativesThey're short -- typically three pages -- and make interesting reading. The goal is to contribute to the thinking of the new Administration. Only the high-order bits matter -- high-order bits such as:
- There's an R&D component to technology fields that needs to be part of the Administration's science policy, not its technology policy (which is about things such as the R&D tax credit and broadband deployment).
- IT R&D is central to almost all aspects of our nation's competitiveness.
- DARPA's engagement with universities must be restored.- "Computational infrastructure" must consider new modes of sensor- driven data-intensive eScience and eLearning, as well as more traditional simulation-oriented computational science.
- New networking infrastructure should be "research-enabled." And so forth. ------------------------------------------- Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/247/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/247/ Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
