Subject: more oberservaitons on airport security

I just watched an entourage of at least six security staffers travel with an
assistant US Attorney General pass through the airport.

Three casual observations -
First, this is a very expensive way to travel and a poor use of
security dollars
Second, if he flew with only a one-man security detail he wouldn't
be so dramatically visible to all
Third, nobody is likely to ever recognize the guy in the first place
so why such a high profile when security through obscurity would work quite EFFICIENTLY in this case and efficiency is the appropriate measure for risk
management.

P.S> I also got to watch the airport inspectors drop and damage a passengers
portable while distracted by a more interesting discussion with a peer.

Life on the road doesn't seem any safer with Code Orange still in effect.

Safe travels,

KWK
