Professor Faulhaber would do well to remember a saying that probably  
goes back to Aristotle: One person's modus ponens is another's
modus tollens. If all of America's business acumen, technical smarts,  
and entrepreneurial spirit can't put together a competitive
service, perhaps it's not a competitive marketplace after all.
