I just bought a TomTom 700. It is CAPABLE of daily updates to its  
data base (or some other period of time. ) While that is not yet  
automatic it is capable of doing so. As of now it can direct me to  
hostpitals etc like most GPSs.  Dave

I'm guessing Ray's car, like mine, has an automotive GPS that uses a  
database of "points of interest" that gets updated once a year if we  
pay our GPS vendor for the update and is three months out of date  
before we even see it.

Maybe hospitals and ATMs don't open, move, or close that often, but  
there will be a few cases in which case a live feed from a provider  
like Google will do better than my GPS's database.
