Dave,

What's perhaps most disturbing about this is what appears on its
face to be an utter lack of understanding of even the current state
of discussions regarding such concerns. To even suggest that a
nonprofit organization collecting such information and then sending
reports to the government somehow makes the situation less ominous
is staggeringly naive, especially from someone in such a position.

As others have pointed out, such a scenario could easily be even
*worse* than a government data-collection operation.
