Well, I'm not high on interference. I certainly don't have the technical expertise to make a judgment on the merits of ARRL's case; I suppose after a decade or so this will all get sorted out (a cost of having bureaucrats adjudicate spectrum disputes).
I have also watched some commons advocates proclaim their commitment to the commons, but once they get access to spectrum they start lobbying for exclusive use. Seems pretty cheesy to me, as it seems to you.
