Hi Dave,

It seems some of the Brits are rather amused at the goings on recently at the FCC. One of the BBC channels has been running a very, very funny R rated advert. Channel Four International (C4i) asked a number of US and UK film and TV stars what the favorite swear words were -- and to say them out loud (and they do). What follows is a 2 minute melange of famous faces saying, amongst other things, bloody, wanker, bollocks and bugger -- it is England, after all -- and an awful lot of other swear words you'd recognize in the U.S.

Regardless of your national origin, its very funny. It's kinda surprising to hear people you see on US broadcast TV, where cursing is not allowed, using a lot of 4 letter words -- including a surprising number of women, who on the commercial seem to enjoy cursing indiscriminately.

After about 30 seconds of it, you realize they are just words, and the power of the phrases diminishes rather rapidly. Its rude, hilarious, and whether intentional or not, very effectively punctures the puritanical sanctimony at the FCC lately . . .

NOTE: This will offend anyone with G rated sensitivities, and is really not safe for most offices.
The ad, for those who not too easily offended, is here:
