Hi ...

It is now utterly apparent that there are those in the administration and
Congress attempting to use the recent Superbowl "incident" as an excuse for
massive controls over all forms of TV and radio -- including cable and
satellite (the Internet they've already been attacking with laws currently
before the courts, of course). While the so-called "wardrobe malfunction"
certainly qualified as tasteless and crude during the Superbowl, the
appearance of a single mammary gland seems hardly more dangerous to the
minds of the kiddies than the spectacle of many violent sports (football,
boxing, et al.) themselves.

Given that it happened in the midst of a game where one assumes (I didn't
watch) quite a few people got badly hurt *intentionally* on the field, one
has to ask what subliminal message the US's "leaders" are trying to get
over.

Indeed, the paroxysms that the US (and to be fair the UK - MPs have been
banned from the House of Commons for breastfeeding on the job) goes through
over such things, while ignoring the violent images on screen (which have
been shown by research to encourage imitation by children) has to make one
wonder.

Dancing in loose clothes = bad, beating each other up = good. Hmm.
