This was sent to me from my mortgage broker and friend, who is a British
citizen with an application for US citizenship. He's pointing out two very
good points, which are frightening. I think it's something IPers should be
aware of.

And here's something I'd like to add, that seems to be the motto for our
current regime:

 Just a thought that came to me whilst reading up on the disgustingly
labeled Patriot Act which was glad handed through by the bunch of lily
livered, constitution ignorant idiots in the House and Senate.
The powers granted under that act are such that my application for
citizenship could be arbitrarily refused with no recourse, AND I could be
thrown out of the country to any location (Iraq??) the secret decision
makers decide.
In your case (or any other citizen) your citizenship could be revoked and
you could be dumped wherever they wished. The Dept of Justice of all people
have proposed that Habeas Corpus should not apply in such cases. A decision
made by a "Star Chamber" secret government committee would be all that was
required, and there would be no method of appeal.
Simply sending and/or receiving the kind of e-mails we do would fit nicely
into the categories which justify these actions.
When we have reached the point where the ACLU is the only voice of
opposition still allowed (and for how much longer if these troglodytes have
their way) it begins to smell awfully like Nazi Germany, or any of the other
totalitarian regimes our "leaders" pretend to oppose.
Not sure where the quote comes from but it is worth remembering:
