I just got off the phone with the 4 Starbucks outlets closest to Times Square. No one on the phone, (and I had them call out to the rest of the staff)at any of these stores had seen or heard anything about a Starbucks being destroyed. A quick search of the New York Post and New York Daily News found two march stories, which carried nothing about any attacks. A call to the New York Daily News city desk reached a guy who said, "We don't have anything on that happening, no, and yes, I would have heard about it." It's too bad that someone had to post a lie to try to smear a basically peaceful demonstration. Barring this posters' presentation of some sort of evidence, I think we should discount his tale. --Michael McGettigan ------ End of Forwarded Message ------------------------------------- You are subscribed as interesting-people () lists elistx com To unsubscribe or update your address, click http://v2.listbox.com/member/?listname=ip Archives at: http://www.interesting-people.org/archives/interesting-people/
