Dewayne:

Interesting filing. This Experimental is essentially an expansion of an
STA (station temporary authority) granted in June
(requested for investor's demo).

Asked for 5 yrs, got 3.
Have no intention of developing or manufacturing
equipment; just licensing their technology. Asked for
all of US -- got cities where software & major
customers will be located (Denver, Dallas) & their own
Maitland, FL.
Fixed = wireless router & intelligent access point.
Shows pictures of the intelligent access point on
light poles, a la Ricochet. Mentions radios will be
used as repeaters.

Modulation is QDMA
Error in initial filing: identified 80 MHz BW; now 4
20 MHz channels;

Mobile is 27dBm w 0 dBi antenna;
Fixed is 32dBm
2.4 GHz @ 15.247 (DSSH)
Started w 5.15 to 5.35 GHz; ended up w 5725-5875 GHZ.
Good for 3 years; had asked for 2;

Was a Wiley Rein & Fielding filing.
Not as good as the ArrayCom grant: not allowed to
commercially market the devices..... and are limited
to 3 cities

Conditions of the experimental:
"Licensee Name: MeshNetworks, Inc. File Number:
0170-EX-PL-2001 Call Sign: WC2XUE
Special Conditions:
.
.
.
(6) Licensee is authorized to operate up to 500
unapproved devices for demonstration
purposes only on a nationwide basis. No more than 100
devices may be operated at a time for each
demonstration.
(7) Licensee is authorized to operate up to 50 fixed
stations and 3950 mobile stations
for each test at the locations stated above. Testing
shall be conducted at only one location at a time."
