To: farber () cis upenn edu Cc: brett () lariat org From: remco () rc6 org (Remco B. Brink) Microsoft claims this move was because of other browsers not correctly supporting the W3C HTML standards. What makes their story rubbish is that (1) the site doesn't accept the W3C HTTP Validator and (2) the splash page doesn't even *pass* the validator. As for changing your useragent: No no no! You really, really don't want to start your good browser to report that it's a lesser browser than it actually is.This what is important here: The authors of the site blocking you have decidedthat you're apparently not important enough to view the site. Fine; nod your head in agreement and take your traffic, attention and most importantly your ad-viewing eyes elsewhere. Don't even tell them or complain; let them die of natural selection. -rbb -- Remco B.
