Dave,

NPR had a story on CIPRO and the alternatives on "All Things Considered" Thursday, Oct. 18:

Cipro Maker
The German drug maker Bayer AG is ramping up production of its antibiotic Cipro, which is used to treat anthrax. So far, it is the only drug being prescribed for people exposed to anthrax spores. Increased demand for Cipro is sure to help Bayer's bottom line. But other cheaper treatment alternatives exist. NPR's Elaine Korry reports. (4:00)
