Dave,


in its December 16, 1997 issue, the Daily Telegraph published
excerpts from an European Commission report, stating that the NSA
has been performing large-scale surveillance (code-named ECHELON)
on European telephone, fax, and e-mail communications for more than
a decade now.

A European Commission report warns that the United States has
developed an extensive network spying on European citizens and we
should all be worried. Simon Davies reports
