The New York Times reports on page one today on
the dismal results of an exercise last month which 
showed how ill-prepared the US is to handle a germ 
attack, on presidential directives coming shortly 
on anti-terrorism, and on the squabbles among 
competing agencies for intel, planning, prestige, 
credibility, ego and terrific stockpiles of money
antidotes, preferrably all non-fictional, but not likely 
since the report says that the PDD the President truly
believes in is Richard Preston's "The Cobra Event" -- 
sold out for miles around the hideout of the germs' 
most wanted.
