KDD reports that between Japan and the US there is now over 530 Mbps of
aggregate commercial Internet bandwidth and only 250 Mbps of voice bandwidth.
AS well, it is estimated that half of the voice bandwidth is being used by
FAX.

The Internet bandwidth is growing between 100% to 200% per year and will be
soon limited by the available capacity of the undersea fibre cables.
