"* SPAMMER LAUNCHES ISP FOR OTHER COMMERCIAL E-MAILERS Cyber Promotions, Inc., best known for having been kicked off of as many as 20 different Internet Service Providers for sending unsolicited e- mail, has announced that it will become an Internet Service Provider itself. CPI plans to charge its customers $50 per month, enabling them to send unsolicited mass mailings -- referred to as spams -- as long as they allow users to remove themselves from such lists and comply with local, state, and federal laws. When asked why the company had not thought of this solution earlier, CPI president Sanford Wallace said that his company had been too busy with lawsuits. (Cowles/SIMBA Media Daily 20 Feb 1997)"
