In case anyone was curious what I've been up to for the past few months,
and occasionally waving my arms about to those unfortunate enough to be
within earshot, I have been researching a certain "toy network filesystem",
aka the file-sharing stuff that Microsoft espouses, in enough depth to learn
that it presents HIGH RISK.  I've pulled together the current state of my
knowledge about it into a whitepaper presented to the net-security-geek
community at large, and feedback has so far been pretty favorable.  It's
about 118K long.  If you care about the security issues in W95 and NT
environments, or just enjoy reading big ol' anti-Microsoft rants, you
