We have a key job opening here at the FCC and welcome applicants


Position: Chief, Policy and Rules Division, Office of Engineering and
Technology, FCC, 
Washington, DC (Restricted to electrical engineers or lawyers for reasons
that are hard to explain)


Pay: $60,925 - 93,116 (GS 14 or 15)


Duties: directs division of 2 branches  and 13 staffers in developing
policies and Federal Register
notices proposing and adopting technical policies dealing with spectrum
allocations, "pioneer's
preferences" for allocations, radio emission limits, and technical standards
for radio systems.


The traditional federal employment form (SF-171) is no longer required
(thanks to reinventing
government) but is acceptable as is a resume with recent salary information

below)
