The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's (EEOC) "Proposed
Guidelines on Harassment" will drastically effect religious
expression in the workplace if implemented. These new
guidelines are in the final stage of approval and expand the
standard for sexual harassment to include Religion.

The EEOC guidelines could put verbal religious expression
(Bless You) on the same level as a dirty joke (There was
this traveling salesman...) and a Bible on a desk could be
considered as offensive as if one displayed a Playboy
Centerfold.

Just as a supervisor who makes a pass toward an employee
could be charged with harassment, an employee giving another
employee a Christmas card or religious tract could be charged
with harassment.

Write your Congressman and both Senators and the ranking
members of the House Education and Labor Committe:

William Ford, Chairman, House Education & Labor Cmte
2181 Rayburn HOB, Washington, DC 20515

William Goodling, Ranking Member, House Education & Labor Cmte
2174 Rayburn HOB, Washington, DC 20515

Request that Congress ask the EEOC to remove the "religious"
portion of the proposed guidelines as this would suppress
rather than protect religious rights.

Your letter can also be sent directly to the EEOC before
June 12 at: EEOC, 10th Floor, 1801 L Street NW, Washington,
DC 20507.
