Thanks for all the replies. I beleive I know what caused the traffic. It was probably a very delayed response from Akamai (appreciate the links to the Akamai FAQ). Before the Akamai traffic hit my router, the last visit to any Akamai hosted content was 10 minutes; before that it was 2 hours. Is it possible that it was from a blocked, but persistent, pop-up ad?
