A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far way, someone said...

Several people on the BUGTRAQ mailinglist has reported that Bind 9.1 is
crashing if someone do a

"nmap -O -sT proven"

on the server. Nothing official from ISC.org or CERT has been announced
since the last bug report for Bind 8.2.2-P7 was filed.

It should be noted that this crash is unreproducible by others - I tried
it on three different computers, running two different operating systems
(Linux & FreeBSD) with no crashes.

About a dozen other have had experiences similar to mine, with a wider
range of operating systems than I am able to test (NetBSD, OpenBSD,
Solaris, etc).

And no, I don't speak for ISC - just reporting my own experiences and
observations from BugTraq.
