I'm unsure of how you relate the 'clear' program to a DNS bug. The clear program "clears" the terminal. Perhaps the problem resides elsewhere? Note that the core was dropped due to a Signal 11. Try upgrading (or compiling from source) the clear program and see if it keeps happening. If you get Signal 11's often you may want to check your hardware for problems.
