FORENSICS is a moderated mailing list for the *detailed* discussion of
computer security forensics.

0.1.2 What is appropriate content?

Please follow the below guidelines on what kind of information should be
posted to the FORENSICS list:

1. Technical Methodology for the Application of Computer Forensics. This
is not system or software specific and is open
for wide discussion. This dicussion will be centered around such things
as:

       Audit trail analysis. (Technical)
       General post mortem analysis. (Technical)
Products and tools for use in this field. (Technical)

2. Process Methodology for the Application of Computer Forensics. This
dicussion will be centered around such things
as:

       Evidence handling. (Technical)
Policy for Search and Seizure. (Non-Technical - Policy Discussion)
Evidence handling policies. (Non-Technical - Policy Discussion)

0.1.3 What is inappropriate content?

A) Product advertisements. Discussion of tools/products is fine, marketing
hype is not.

B) Discussion of legal issues surrounding this topic. This list will serve
people from differant geographical areas and discussion of regional laws
will turn into a sinkhole.

The FAQ for this list will possibly contain country/region specific
legal information over time.

0.1.4 How do I subscribe?
