OOps!  I jumped the gun on the analysis on that last message(and used the
wrong subject line to boot).

The exploit was not in PAM, it was a remote exploit for adm.

I have found a couple versions of the exploit, but not the precise code,
might be a private copy, but if it is, it is well used, the precise
signature of the attack in the logs is easy to find in many mailing lists.
