You might have to run ldconfig on the directory in which libdnet has been installed. niels. On Tue, Feb 01, 2005 at 03:47:25PM -0000, Brian Jameson wrote:
Fedora Core 3 fully patched libevent-1.0b installed libdnet-1.8 installed with ./configure && make && make install python-2.3.4-11 installed python-devel-2.3.4-11 installed python-ldap-2.0.1-2 installed When I come to do the ./configure for honeyd I get the following message 'checking for working addr_cmp in libdnet... configure: error: you need to install a more recent version of libdnet' I have tried honeyd-0.8b and get the same message and I have tried ./configure --without-python all to no avail. The configure.log has the line 'configure:6159: error: you need to install a more recent version of libdnet' but looking at the configure script I am none the wiser! After much googling and reading FAQ I see that this has been seen before but I could not see how to implement the hack. Can anyone tell me what is going wrong and how to put it right. regards, Brian
