Hello everyone,

I am pleased to announce the release of Honeyd-1.0. This release has
been a long time in the making and contains a ton of new features:

- Internal web server: The internal web server shows traffic
statistics. It can be used to determine active connections and current
configuration of Honeyd. Network traffic is visualized via rrdtool.

- Statistics Reporting: Honeyd can collect traffic statistics that an
aggregator daemon can process to determine interesting facts like worm
propagation or other traffic anomalies. If you are interested in
contributing your Honeyd data, please contact Niels Provos.

- DHCP Honeypots: Virtual honeypots can be configured to acquire IP
addresses from a DHCP server. This works very well in scenarios where
  arpd is not appropriate.

- Security Update Check: Automatic security check that provides a
warning on the web interface and in syslog if the current Honeyd
  version has vulnerabilities.

And a ton of bug fixes that cannot be all listed here.

If you should find bugs, you can report them via the Honeyney.org
Bugzilla server; see www.honeyd.org for the link.
