Retailer JC Penney fought to keep its name secret during court
proceedings related to the largest breach of credit card data on record

OK, a couple of points:

a) When you get hit in such a public event, trying to deny and keep out of the
news is really, really stupid. It just makes you look worse when (inevitably) you
get found out.

b) Gee, those disclosure laws work really well, don't they? (Excuse me, I have to
go to the orthodontist to get the tongue pulled out of my cheek.)
