Off Topic: Northern California: On Fire Again

Unfortunately, this is not fun.

And unfortunately, this fire is very close to home in the nearby
Santa Cruz mountains. We can see the smoke on the surrounding
ridges from the Santa Clara valley and San Jose.

I guess it's that time of year -- it's been a very dry spring,
with no measurable rain for several months. :-(

Some of my favorite places in this area are up through the Santa
Cruz mountains out to the ocean...
