That is a legitimate problem.  My first reaction was, well no teacher would just leave their gun sitting around.  It 
would be locked up or kept safe somehow but then I get back to reality where people are careless.  It is the same as, 
"Keep your password safe!" only to come to their desk and find it taped to their monitor.
