Would the same approximation apply if you really had to go and letter
on the door was either M or W?

Liberals do it anyway, knowing full well that in some parts of the
world it's frowned upon. But on the other hand they are open to the
experience.
Conservatives do it too, but recognize the folly of their ways only after.
Survivors are oblivious before _and_ after.

It all depends on what keys to press and in what circumstances.
Doesn't really matter if it's really fine BS or just S that one is
currently dealing with ;)

Just couldn't resist.

press a key in knee-jerk fashion whenever they saw a letter.

Each participant was wired to an electroencephalograph that recorded
activity in the anterior cingulate cortex, the part of the brain that
detects conflicts between a habitual tendency (pressing a key) and a more
appropriate response (not pressing the key). Liberals had more brain
activity and made fewer mistakes than conservatives when they saw a W,
researchers said. Liberals and conservatives were equally accurate in
recognizing M.
