Well, in the greater context of the article, it's quite good...

fine; i didn't read the article; i just took this opportunity to vent my
feelings about him. but it is a quote suggesting his current practice of
stating things we already know.

all he does (lately) is state the blindingly obvious.

Whilst that is debatable, as pointed out by others already,
particularly in light of his probable readership, assuming we may allow
a degree of verisimilitude to your observation, to the extent that it
is true, that is at least partly due to him having been saying much the
same things, in variously differently clever ways for so long that at
least some of what he has been saying is now seen as "obvious" by at
least some of those who now so claim it.

that must've been a fun sentence to type.

you're kidding yourself if you think he does much more then echo - loudly -
the thoughts of others. i mean, good on him in getting his message to the
crowd; and having an audience to listen [the various mags that interview
him] but to 'security professionals' his commentary isn't particularly
insightful or interesting. i'd hardly consider any of his 'recent' (in terms
of years) writings on his blog 'clever'.

Nick FitzGerald
