I can't wait to see people start creating their own firmware for their
car. Car-to-Car and Car-to-Road networks will essentially have to
happen in the future to have intelligent transportation networks
including auto-driving, auto-parking, self-repair in motion and AI
traffic management. ;)

But, yeah......not addressing privacy and security issues at the
application design phase will ensure that vehicles will become heavy
weapons - a simple denial of service could cause a car in auto-drive
mode to simply stop or go out of control while a botnet controller
could create a controlled multi-car collision including a few
specially selected  infected tankers and big rigs.

What's next? Turning the electric grid into a WMD? ;)
