-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I find this quiet troubling. On the front page on MSNBC.com this evening is a front-and-center advertisement for ID Theft protection. Upon further inspection (a la clicking upon a revenue-generating ad), I find that the "insurance" is underwritten by Transunion, "The largest credit bureau in North America and the credit reporting industry leader in fraud protection." I'm appalled. I guess I probably shouldn't be. An "Indivdual theft proctection plan" can be bought for $89.99 a year. A "family Plan" for $99 a year. Aren't we lucky? Doesn't anyone else see how much the consumer has been pinched, and in almost (what I would consider) an immoral fashion?
