Graffiti Research Lab just put this statement on their Web site: http://graffitiresearchlab.com/ You may have heard about the most recent terror attacks in Boston. This is NOT the work of the Graffiti Research Lab. We just downloaded this link from youtube. It's Just more mindless corporate vandalism from a guerilla marketer who got busted. Interference Inc, welcome to the world of being misunderstood, scapegoated, demonized and wanted by the law. Still want to be a graffiti artist? For more on this most recent terror attack from the axis of evil (corporations, advertisers, marketers) check out this civic-minded citizens post on Flickr. Interference, who the Cartoon Network hired to run the campaign, has turned off their Web site: http://www.interferenceinc.com/ A local Boston-area artist just got busted for this mess: Artist arrested for planting marketing figures http://www.boston.com/news/globe/city_region/breaking_news/2007/01/artist_ar rested.html Richard -----Original Message----- From: Krpata, Tyler [mailto:tkrpata () bjs com] Sent: Wednesday, January 31, 2007 5:54 PM To: rms () computerbytesman com; funsec () linuxbox org Subject: RE: [funsec] 'Suspicious Packages' That Paralyzed Boston Part of Cartoon Network Marketing Campaign Images of the "device" http://www.flickr.com/photos/vanderlin/tags/graffitiresearchlab/

Marketeers are behind the DOS attack in Boston today. Richard http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,249110,00.html BOSTON - A suspicious package alert that shut down downtown Boston Wednesday afteroon was actually part of an elaborate marketing
campaign by
the Cartoon Network to spark interest in their "Aqua Teen Hunger
Force"
show. After state and local officials said they were launching an
investigation
into the series of "suspicious packages" found around the city, the Cartoon Network released a statement saying the packaged are actually magnetic lights that pose no danger. "They are part of an outdoor marketing campaign in 10 cities in
support of
Adult Swim's animated television show Aqua Teen Hunger Force," the statement said. "They have been in place for two to three weeks in
Boston,
New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Portland, Austin,
San
Francisco, and Philadelphia. Parent company Turner Broadcasting is in contact with local and federal law enforcement on the exact locations
of
the billboards. We regret that they were mistakenly thought to pose
any
danger." Some of the images left on the devices were in the form of characters called "Mooninites" from "Aqua Teen Hunger Force." _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
